Have you ever reached the point where you look down and think to yourself, “man - when did my hands start looking like that?” i’ve always been enamored with hands. they move so effortlessly and diligently yet can be so hard to control in certain situations (see: ping-pong). fingers have always reminded me of bugs - especially when someone is trying to pick up something thin, like a piece of paper, from a table. i’ve always wondered why most humans hate spiders, but not fingers. it’s like saying you’re lactose intolerant but you can still eat cheese (dairy is dairy, right?) my hands are dry and rough and typing at a slow pace. it’s another late night spent in the studio space where heat is never a luxury we possess . especially when the current temperature in detroit is under 30 degrees.
anyways, the track up top is a sample of a song we’ve been working on. our friend liz shar helped us out by recording some A-MAZ-ING spaghetti western backgrounds. seth and i have been searching for years to record someone with her type of voice. i was literally jumping up and down with excitement after every take (when i say ‘literally’ i don’t mean that for emphasis. i mean it happened. every. time.) i’m sure we’ll be having her back in the future.
.
we’ve narrowed down our first set as flint eastwood and our excitement has been building (speaking of, any songs you’d like to hear? message us!) i feel so grateful to have the opportunity to play our first show with such amazing bands. can’t wait experience existence with you guys!

.
hope you all are learning to enjoy the little things.

kindest thoughts,
