just got our flyers/tickets in for our detroit show at the pikeroom on march 9th with an horse! couldn’t be more excited about this one!
also - i got a chance to make it out to see prussia, an amazing detroit band, play their last show before going on hiatus. prussia is a fantastic band with solid musicianship, a great sound, and a very impressive live show. they’ve been a heavy hitter in the detroit scene for awhile and it makes me sad to see them go. i also finally got a chance to see seven birds one stone (another band playing with us march 9th!) they opened for prussia and all i can say is WHOA. their energy was both contagious and refreshing. whether it was their two main singers - one being a dread headed lass with pipes like a god, or their guitar lines that kept your feet moving, their melodies have been stuck in my head since. i can’t wait to play with them!
seeing a show with a crowd that size and musicians that amazing uplifts and reminds me that detroit is still alive. it’s so good to see humans not just supporting local music, but really feeling it. makes me love what i do all over again.
anyways - march 9th is going to be an excellent show! we’ve been writing a ton of new material, so expect to hear some new songs. presale tickets are $10 and if you live within a 30 mile radius of detroit, message us and we’ll deliver them to you personally. if you’re farther than that, messages us and we can figure out a halfway meeting place. like we’re in a secret society, gathering to discuss foreign affairs and we can do to sav the future of human civilization. basically we’ll save humanity together after you message us where to meet you. done. deal.
hope you are well and feeling inspired on this fine february day.
love until we die,
jax
