my roommates and i have been tossing around the concept of what it means to be a human. one says that when you strip it all down the main focus of being a human is to keep the species going (to reproduce). i see where he’s coming from, but for many reasons i don’t entirely agree.

Life is awesome and all
but I could seriously use an authentic hug right about now. I’m not sad, im not stressed or anxious and I’m definitely not lonely, I could just use a nice, honest, warm, grandma on your wedding day style hug. suicide is such a tricky subject. it’s not to be taken lightly. unlike cutting yourself, shaving your head, getting a tattoo, having a bad friend or killing someone else, there are no second chances. once you make the decision, that’s it. there’s no redos. pretty intense to think about. i know i can never fully understand where someone is coming from that has thoughts of suicide...

MAN, TODAY WAS MY FAVORITE DAY!
in case you’re interested: a list.
-two fourteen year olds came in at the end of my shift. one was bubbly, one was quiet and obviously didn’t take much interest in shopping. they were looking for a christmas dress for the reserved one. i love helping customers like this. mainly because they remind me of myself in my early teen years. and maybe a bit now.
-bought my first slide, dude...
